This Sunday I’ll be playing at the official Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame induction ceremony with the Real Soul Pleaser, Robert T and his James Brown tribute ‘Papa’s New Bag.’ The show is at the beautiful Canton Palace theater, Aug 24th at 6.00pm. Tickets are $60.

This year’s inductees include Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, B.B. King, Marvin Gaye, and Chubby Checker, amongst many others. We’ll be playing immediately after intermission. I rehearsed with the band this week and it sounds tight. The rhythm section sounds thick and funky and we’ve got 4 horns up front.

The Canton Palace is a cool old theater for those who have never been inside. Here are some pics of what it looks like.
